Let Him lead you
For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me -- Psalms 31:3
Vision log 03-16-2010. Imagine, you and a friend are on the phone. Knowing what eachother are going through, neither participate in Pity Parties. It is not an option to magnify the troubles of life and glorify the devil. Instead, you begin to lift up the name of Jesus and thank Him for being (Jehovah Jireh) your provider, your healer (Jehovah Rapha), and sing praises to His name because He is El Shaddai, the Almighty God.
As you continue, you are suddenly thrust into total and complete darkness. You cannot see anything on the right nor on the left. When you put your arms out in front of you, and wave your hands, nothing seems to be there. You cannot feel air flow between your fingers nor can you tell where you came. Fear does not overtake you because you are standing on the promise that the Lord will never leave nor forsake you.
Before you can form an opinion of what is going on around you, you hear a still small voice, calling your name. The Comforter tells you to slowly turn this way, now make a half turn that way, stand still, hold it, wait....turn your head in the direction of His voice....now hold your arms out to your sides, lift them up, raise them up higher to waist level, do not let them drop. Look not to the left nor to the right, keep your eyes open, and do not move in any way that I have not led you to.
You cannot allow your mind to wander, you are trusting Him to bring you through. Even in that dark place, there is no question that you are still protected. As the two of you continue on your journey there is no mention about where you are or why you are there, it doesn't matter. Patience is no longer an issue, you have submitted yourself to the Spirit of the Lord.
In the deep distance you see what appears to be a fuzzy, dim light the size of a pin head. As you continue, you notice that the light is coming closer, quickly. A thought comes to you to run into the light, into the arms of safety, but you know that you must walk the way you have been instrucuted. This is not something that you want to do over! Just as suddenly as you were thrust into darkness, you have now emerged into a glorious light. There are no shadows or any hint of darkness! The warmth bathes you with total and complete love that floods through you. You are overtaken and consumed by it. The Lord has brought you out into a wealthy place.
I see you there rejoicing, and dancing before the Lord, or was that you pouring out before Him in a tongue that sent a sweet scent in His nostrils? You know how you praise and thank Him. Me? I was worshipping Him in song with tears. In the natural I noticed that my heart was pounding with excitement. In this place time, neither time nor distance matter.
When we look back to where the Lord has led us from, we see a black hole, an death cave. Although we are now standing on solid ground, we notice that we have been walking on a right rope, while being led through darkness! As the light pierces through, we see on the left, the ways we used to handle things. On the right, we see how tempation had taken hold and caused us to fall. I saw arms that would have grabbed and pulled us down into destruction if we had not walked the way we were told to.
What a beautiful vision! Because of what Jesus did on the cross, we can live more abundant lives, right now. He said that He would send the Comforter to us and He has. This is what I saw and experienced. I wish that I were better able explain it to you. There are times when we are given the full plan, laid out in it's entirety. Will you do it then, or put it off? At other times, we are given a plan, but we won't know the next step until we complete the former one. Will you continue on, or get tired and give up? We have to take a stand and make the decision to trust God always, at all times, in everything. It's a process that we can go through knowing He is with us or one that we can keep avoiding because it's hard. I got tired of walking in circles year after year. Are you tired yet?
God bless,
Pamyla

The Word Illustrated #35 -- Do you see what I see?

Do you see what I see?
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known -- I Corinthians 13:12
Usually it is an incident or person that causes us to look inwardly at who we really are. As the scripture says, when we look in the mirror, the only part we see clearly is what is reflected back to us. If we ask the Holy Spirit to help us, we will begin to see ourselves for who we really are, so that the real work can begin.
Are we holding grudges, which cause us to be cynical? Are we insecure, and talk too much? Are we ashamed of where we came from, and hide the real us to be accepted?
For every situation, circumstance or stage of our lives, there are scriptures which come alive, bringing new revelation and freedom. I specifically make mention of this because it doesn't matter how long we have been saved, "I know what the bible says", or "I've read the bible before" should never come out of our mouths. We must stop opening doors, and giving satan the keys to wreak havoc in our lives. The real prisons are the invisible bubbles many of us walk around in.
To keep our cars are running properly, we have them inspected. In order to get the freshest foods, we inspect them for spots and bruises. Are we taking the time to inspect our inner man to see if it reflects who God says we are? He says that by Jesus' stripes we are healed, that we are part of the inheritance, that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and that we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ.
The influences of televison, magazines, and others are all around us bombarding and speaking to our inner man day after day. Who are we going to believe? WE all want to hear "Well done, thy good and faithful servant", so let's resolve to trust Jesus, to make us whole from the inside out. When we look in the mirror, we should see a person whose life is lining up with the word of God, not one who is trying to sure that their mask is on straight.
God bless,
Pamyla
