It's not over

Jeremiah 29:11 -- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end

As the new year approaches, we find ourselves reflecting back over the past twelve months, and sometimes, previous years. It is the job of the deceiver to make us feel like failures or victims in our lives. As we take stock, we must realize that although we cannot change nor forget the past, we can, with God's help use them to live our lives in His will.

I realize I made things sound easy, but, my point is that with God, all things are possible. satan is seductive, and will any situation, conversation, or circumstance in our lives, to remove the focus away from the Lord, and put it square on ourselves. he then starts introducing memories from our pasts. Suddenly, we are reminiscing about the 'good ole days' with fondness and delight.

WE have not handed satan the keys to come in and redecorate our spiritual houses. When we take the marbles labeled with our cares, out of God's capable hands, we stand in agreement with satan for a better way. he takes us to a place of isolation and throws the blanket of depression over our heads; a state where we cannot hear or think clearly. He wants to muffle out the voice of the Lord, but cannot because He said that His sheep know H voice Make no mistake, this is not a game, satan plans to steal, kill and destroy our lives.

I Corinthians 15:34 tells us to awake to righteousness and sin not. Instead of speaking words of death and defeat, make declarations of faith such as, "I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ". Say it aloud, say it often, get it in your spirit, and begin to emerge from the entrapment and strongholds. It's never too late to return home! Repent, ask for forgiveness, and move forward in Christ. Today is the first day of the rest of your life, make the right choice today!

God bless,

Strength in numbers
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen – Matthew 28:20
satan is counting on us to NOT know the word of God, so that he can convince us that we do not matter—that we have messed up too badly, too many times etc. But if we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive and remember them no more. For those who desire mates, he tortures and makes them think that they are unworthy of being loved and will always be alone. He then separates us from everyone so that he can break us down completely, and throw us into the pit of depression.

If we allow pride to keep us from seeking help, we are giving him permission to steam roll over us! God promised to perfect those things concerning us, but we have to do our part too. We must seek to have a personal relationship with Him. We learn who He is through His word, and we get closer to Him through prayer.

No matter who you are, or what you are facing, if you are a born again believer in Christ, you are never alone. We have the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit and all the heavenly hosts with us.

Psalms 4:3 says the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself and that he will hear when we call Him. How awesome is that? Even more awesome is the fact that when Jesus was on the cross, He said “It is finished!” Healing is ours; we can be whole—spiritually, physically and mentally. We don’t have to suffer, and watch life pass us by, we are loved dearly. It is finished! You have the victory through Jesus Christ, and you are not alone.

God bless,
Pamyla

The Word Illustrated #38--He inhabits the praises of His people!

He inhabits the praises of His people

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD, praise ye the LORD—Psalms 150:6

We are always seeking ways to get our prayers answered. We have all been in a place where our prayers have not gone past the ceiling, leading to frustration, which the deceiver uses against us. We want to know how, but we may be bogged down with life and in a ‘fog’.

The bible tells us that God inhabits the praises of His people. This world we live in is not our home and the more we strive to live Christ like, the more opposition comes our way. We would be foolish to not expect it, but it especially hurts when it comes from within the body itself. That’s why we are taught to put our trust in the Lord.

Jesus called all who were heavy ladened and burdened. We endure job loss, death of loved ones, financial woes, health problems and are attacked with the dark cloud of depression. How can we ever get past it? The key is praise. No, it isn’t always easy, but if you can just say “Thank you Lord” you have the battle half won!

Remember how he provided transportation, provided food, gave you a roof over your head, held and listened to you when no one else would? So thank Him for it. Before long as you start to count your blessings (remember the song?) you will find a renewed joy and strength well up from inside out. Please KNOW that YES the Lord is there just like He promised He would be.

Begin with a simple “Thank You’ and watch your night transform into day. Remember, it’s always darkest before the dawn, and God promised that as long as the earth remains, morning would come forth after the night.

God bless,
Pamyla
