The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works—Psalms 145:9

Merciful God

You and I, need to know within ourselves; not just have head knowledge, but know deep within the crevices of our hearts that no matter who says what, no matter what twists and turns come our way, that our God is faithful, just, and true to His word. He loves us with a love that surpasses all that we know and understand. He cares so much about us, that He tells us to cast our cares on him. He promised to never leave nor forsake us. If we face job loss on a beautiful sunny day, does the day turn stormy, windy, rainy and cold, or are we able through Christ to see it as it really is? According to the word of God, we shall have what we say. We have to choose carefully what we let come out of our mouths.

Change in our relationship with Him happens because we moved. Whether the move takes place in our hearts, our thinking, or a physical walk away from Him, we are the ones who carved the wedge and placed it between ourselves and Him. We move when we stop saying what God says, stop living as He says etc. God is in control and He is the author and finisher of our faith. There is nothing that goes on with us, that catches Him by surprise. So, if we lose our job, it is not because He wants us to suffer or because He wants us poor. Maybe He wants to take us to new heights and now we have the knowledge needed to handle the new position. He knows what we have need before we ask. Are we asking? Do we always know what we need? I know that I don’t.

He doesn’t want us living in lack, hungry, sick, broke, busted and disgusted. He takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants--Psalms 35:27. Our God, the great I AM, can do a ‘suddenly’ in our lives and command the blessing to break forth at any time. It has already been commanded, but it is waiting for us to catch up. Are you ready? Please understand that although your body may be hurting, or your finances may not fruitfully multiplying; because of the promises of God, we can stand on His word and claim what He says is already ours.

I can hear some of you already saying, “But I trust the Lord, I study the word, I do as He says, I don’t see so and so having it so easy”. It is not going to be easy. There are saints who don’t know the word of God, and those who know it, but choose not to live by it. satan has no problem with them, because they are already living defeated lives. They are like the disciples in John 6:66, who went back, and walked with Jesus no more. But, to you the faithful to God, who know and stand on His word, who pray and seek Him, you are a threat to the kingdom of darkness. he comes at you so hard, because he wants to shut you down. He keeps putting distorted images in front of you, trying to sow seeds of doubt and unbelief in your life. Keep fighting the good fight of faith. Keep meditating on the word You will see the salvation of the Lord, faithful is our God almighty.

Keep standing, keep praying, praising, thanking and blessing His name! Resolve above all to stand, and if you ask, He will give you the strength to do so! Now, after all that you have gone through, is your day ruined? Can you thank Him for what He is about to ‘suddenly’ do in your life? Your future’s so bright, you have to wear shades!

God bless,
Pamyla

Thank You

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; -- James 1:2

"Wakin' up in the morning seeing the sunrise, because of oyou, I Thank You Lord!" These are words from a song entitled "Be Thankful" by Natalie Cole. I heard it last week, and it has been replaying over and over again in my head. As I meditated on the words I thought about my own life and what Jesus means to me.

You knew that You would be betrayed, yet You expressed love for one another, how to inherit the kingdom of God, and how to live abundant lives in this place, which is not our home.

You wore a crown of thorns, pressed into your skull, and took 39 lashes from whips borne of leather, with sharpened metal and broken pottery woven into them. For miles You carried the cross, to which you would endure unimaginable pain, as nails were driven into your hands and feet. You hung there, in the heat, naked and beaten beyond recognizion. You were spat on, and labored to breathe; yet you still forgave us. You could have called angels to minister to you, but for love you didn't. On the third day, just as you promised, you returned. You hold the keys of hell and of death. The tomb is empty. Our faith is not in vain.

I say Thank You Lord!", triumpumphantly and with a shout that travels from the very depths of my soul. Unhibited, unashamed and with great joy, I'm thankful that I am here another day to start over again. I'm thankful that I have another chance to make things right with failed relationships. I'm thankful that I can read Your word; praise and worship you in total freedom.

It is well with my soul. You are the author and finisher of my faith and I will run this race with patience. Thank you Lord, for all you have done! I know know what real life is. It is because of you that I’m free. When you don’t know what else to say, just say “Thank you!”

God bless,
Pamyla

Praise Him!

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name -- Psalms 100:4

As born again Christians, we can freely praise the Lord our God anywhere and at anytime. Remember the bondage He brought you out of? Remember how He brought you back from the brink of death? When man gave up, the Lord stepped in and performed a miracle healing. Remember how he fed, clothed and kept you in your right mind? Remember how He made a way out of no way? Praise Him!

Praise Him for all that He has done, and for what He’s about to do! If we really sat down and counted the blessings of forgiveness, deliverance, victory through Jesus Christ, we would realize, that we could never thank and praise Him enough. We cannot, call our hearts to continually pump blood throughout our bodies. The air we breathe isn’t even our own, and there is NO way that we in our finite minds, could command our lungs to expand, rise and fill with fresh air time and time again. Praise Him!

Do you remember feeling so alone, and how He was there to hold and comfort you? What an awesome God we serve. He is our strong tower in time of trouble, and He inhabits the praises of His people. We ought to always praise Him!

Praise Him and thank Him whether the times are good times or bad! ‘Our’ time isn’t even our own, we cannot control one second apart from any minute. We don’t even know how many hairs are on our heads, but our heavenly Father does. He spoke a word long ago, telling the sun, moon and stars on how they are to behave, and today, they still follow His instructions.

He loves and cares for us more than we will ever know, so Praise Him! He is the one who can change our lives in an instant, in the blink of an eye. He can change our midnight mourning into a morning song that the birds can’t imitate. Praise Him, for He is worthy! I won’t let the rocks cry out praises in my stead – what about you!!

God bless,
Pamyla

He inhabits the praises of His people

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD, praise ye the LORD—Psalms 150:6

We are always seeking ways to get our prayers answered. We have all been in a place where our prayers have not gone past the ceiling, leading to frustration, which the deceiver uses against us. We want to know how, but we may be bogged down with life and in a ‘fog’.

The bible tells us that God inhabits the praises of His people. This world we live in is not our home and the more we strive to live Christ like, the more opposition comes our way. We would be foolish to not expect it, but it especially hurts when it comes from within the body itself. That’s why we are taught to put our trust in the Lord.

Jesus called all who were heavy ladened and burdened. We endure job loss, death of loved ones, financial woes, health problems and are attacked with the dark cloud of depression. How can we ever get past it? The key is praise. No, it isn’t always easy, but if you can just say “Thank you Lord” you have the battle half won!

Remember how he provided transportation, provided food, gave you a roof over your head, held and listened to you when no one else would? So thank Him for it. Before long as you start to count your blessings (remember the song?) you will find a renewed joy and strength well up from inside out. Please KNOW that YES the Lord is there just like He promised He would be.

Begin with a simple “Thank You’ and watch your night transform into day. Remember, it’s always darkest before the dawn, and God promised that as long as the earth remains, morning would come forth after the night.

God bless,
Pamyla
